STAHL CraneSystems is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of lifting technology and crane components, particularly in the field of explosion-proof systems. To position the company as an attractive employer for young people, VISUELL is developing a comprehensive recruitment concept. The central element is a commercial shown in cinemas across the country.
Title of the cinema advert: We’ve got what it takes to lift!
Trainee Max wakes up and realises: nothing can be lifted anymore. Chaos breaks out, the world freezes, everything is gloomy and grey. Frightened, he runs through Künzelsau to STAHL CraneSystems. Together with trainee Julia and the staff, he looks expectantly at the lifting gear – slowly, the hook rises. As the saviour of humanity, it hangs in the glistening light; it works perfectly.
Together with cameraman Lukas Nicolaus, we develop a detailed storyboard, organise castings, scout locations – from an Airbnb flat to a farm and a wooded area – and meticulously plan the entire shoot.
Over three days, we film at six locations, coordinate over 20 extras and overcome unforeseen challenges. The first day of filming in the heart of Künzelsau, in particular, requires flawless logistics. Setting up the first set, changing light and wind conditions, and coordinating the many people involved make this day a real test of our mettle. Evening meetings and spontaneous adjustments to the shooting schedule are necessary to overcome all adversities. A highlight is the shoot whilst operations continue at the STAHL CraneSystems plant. Here, we succeed in creating a dynamic, authentic atmosphere with employees and trainees.
Back at VISUELL, the fine-tuning begins: reviewing footage, editing, colour grading and sound design. Every detail is perfected by our team. Each scene is analysed in detail to achieve the best possible effect on the cinema screen. The result? An impressive cinema advert that, with its gripping staging and technical precision, reflects both the quality of our work and the quality of STAHL CraneSystems.
