The Liederhalle Culture and Congress Centre in Stuttgart is a vibrant venue, a hub of cultural and social life. Today, it is one of Germany’s most important cultural buildings. What makes these spaces so unique is not just the exceptional architecture and their wonderful acoustics. It is the people who fill the halls and auditoriums with music and bring them to life: world-renowned stars from the worlds of classical music, jazz and pop, as well as scientists, researchers and business experts who meet to exchange knowledge.
Not only has the refurbishment of the interiors of the Liederhalle Culture and Congress Centre been completed, but the corporate design has also been revamped. The consistent, striking visual identity, which VISUELL has adapted and expanded, highlights the Liederhalle as a modern, sustainable venue.
Working closely with the Liederhalle team, we analyse the existing corporate design, examine the newly renovated interiors in detail and let the ambience sink in. A holistic design and communication strategy, in which architecture, digital and print elements interlock, is of paramount importance to us in this process. The colours and materials of the Liederhalle play a major role in this. We define a new colour palette with a new base shade of blue that harmonises with the interiors.
In line with the corporate design we have created, the visual identity focuses on the essentials and avoids distracting elements. The now uniform typography, using Jeremy Tribby’s Barlow typeface, will be used for all future communications. It is a slightly rounded, low-contrast sans-serif typeface that is very well suited to large blocks of text. The font supports over 200 languages, which reflects the Liederhalle’s multicultural orientation. With the bold, dark blue tone, the culture and congress centre will present itself in future as more modern, bold and yet elegant. The accent and accent colour bronze is used sparingly and predominantly as an outline.

“VISUELL adapted our corporate identity to the fresh new look of the refurbished part of the building, demonstrating a deep understanding of our company’s history, art and architecture. We have greatly valued the expertise, creativity and reliability in our collaboration with VISUELL for many years.”
