At the government press conference on 26 November 2019 in Stuttgart, Minister President Winfried Kretschmann will announce the bureaucracy reduction work programme for 2019/20. With almost 60 projects, bureaucratic hurdles are to bereduced in the future – the largest programme in the history of the state, decided by the state government of Baden-Württemberg. In addition, the annual report 2018 for bureaucracy reduction, bureaucracy avoidance and better regulation will be published.
The public tender of the Baden-Württemberg State Ministry presents VISUELL with the task of designing the annual report and the work programme for bureaucracy reduction in a clear and friendly way and presenting information in a structured manner. In our design, we think one step ahead and create sketches that visualise the topic of bureaucracy reduction and enhance and complement the layout.
Bureaucracy is a topic that VISUELL also encounters frequently and that often gets in the way of a creative process. However, the work programme promises improvement. In future, many administrative processes will be able to take place without media discontinuity. With the help of the various humorous, friendly and future-oriented illustrations, we express the positive changes and simplifications that the reduction in bureaucracy can bring.
VISUELL starts with the proofreading of the work programme and annual report. This is followed by the design of the content. We focus on the advantages of cutting red tapes – not on the disadvantages of bureaucracy, which makes the work programme and annual report appear much friendlier. As digitalisation plays a major role, this theme is reflected in our drawings. We use clear, informative graphics and diagrams to make them easy to read and understand.
The work programme and annual report are published in a modern look just in time for the government press conference. Graphics and drawings complement the structured layout and liven it up at the same time.
The friendly design invites you to browse through and illustrates the simplifications that come with the reduction in bureaucracy. The illustrations we created will accompany the presentation by Minister President Kretschmann and State Secretary Dr Stegmann, will be projected in the hall of the government press conference.

“VISUELL has succeeded excellently in presenting the topic of bureaucracy reduction, which many people perceive as unwieldy, in a clear and friendly way – under great time pressure, with great cooperation and a lot of flexibility.”
Jens Braunewell, Head of Division 16
State Ministry Baden-Württemberg
