BEST CARS 2023

Motor Presse Stuttgart is one of the largest special interest publishers in Europe. Every year, the readers of auto motor und sport vote for the best cars of the year in 13 different categories and answer questions on all aspects of mobility. The winning cars and the results of the statistical analysis are announced at a gala event in front of an inter­national audience from the automotive industry. VISUELL has been responsible for the complete staging and realisation for many years. 

The aim: asuccessful event with a new concept after the corona break. To this end, we develop the idea of a 360° prjection, in the centre of which the guests find themselves “BEST CARS 2023 in a new dimension”. We want to recreate the driving experience through the longed-for nature. To achieve this, we not only project breathtaking images of nature, but also equip the hall with real trees up to a height of five metres. There will also be music and natural acoustics, fog and emotional lighting effects.

The concept will be finalised in September and planning is already underway. The design of the event is defined by the choice of font, colours, composition and image style and the first trailers for the individual vehicle categories are cut. The technical realisation takes place with 7 walls, each in the format 5 x 9 metres, which zone the hall into a smaller room. Designer furniture with modern plant decorations cover the inner area. This inner room is furnished with designer furniture and modern plant decorations. The two cars, which voters can win in the readers’ choice, welcome the guests as they enter the staged world. 

From the concept to the design to the realisation on site, we prepare the trailers and speaker charts. We redevelop the charts of the management, the editors-in-chief and the presentations of the BEST CARS 2023 award ceremony and the International Paul Pietsch Award, which is presented by the shareholders of Motor Presse. Alexander Bloch will host the programme. The stage performances are rehearsed in detail in advance with Markus Brock. At the same time, we design and produce print products such as invitations, admission tickets, menu cards and much more. The trophies were also designed by us and are customised every year. Project management, technical planning and implementation round off our services. The Event runs under our direction. Throughout the event, we are the interface for all suppliers, technology, sound and lighting. We occupy positions in the technical and control room, at the camera, in make-up and backstage. Connected by radio, we are a well-rehearsed, motivated team with full enthusiasm and can therefore report a successful event this year as well.
