VISUELL is taking part in a tender organised by the General Customs Directorate in 2023. The theme: “75 years of the German Customs Administration”, an exhibition to be displayed in the foyer of the Paul Löbe House of the German Bundestag in Berlin. The conceptual design and content development must take into account the possibility of a subsequent travelling exhibition.
The concept focuses on a modern, informative and vivid presentation incorporating digital and multimedia elements. Ten modules across three key themes are designed to allow for easy assembly and dismantling, straightforward transport and flexible arrangement in various spaces. Crucial for the exhibition in the large foyer is the visual impact from a distance as well as the effect when viewed from a bird’s-eye perspective.
Life-size images of customs officers run as a common thread through the exhibition. They meet visitors at eye level and come across as approachable and human. The interplay of solid materials combined with powerful content – presented in both analogue and digital formats, interactively and through multimedia displays – results in a compelling portrayal of the German customs administration and its indispensable contribution to Germany and Europe.
With this scenographic design, VISUELL secured third place among the submitted proposals.
