Filming
Sound, clapperboard, set uuuuuund Bitteee – we at VISUELL will probably not forget these words any time soon. Many of us took part in the exciting filming of STAHL CraneSystems’ trainee recruitment film to support the camera team led by Lukas Nicolaus.
We set off for the filming locations in the early hours of the morning. The first day of filming in particular was a bit of a challenge. In the middle of the city, the first set construction, over 20 extras and a lot of wind, which literally caused a stir, not to mention a huge flour lorry, which had to drive through the set at short notice. But thanks to months of organisation and planning as well as good cooperation, even these small hurdles were overcome. The whole team was quickly well-rehearsed and always well-fuelled by the daily fresh and delicious buffet.
We prepared a total of six locations for the shoot during these days and spared no effort to make them look as authentic as possible. An Airbnb flat was completely transformed in just a few hours and then returned to its original state at the end. Fabric sofas were taken out, posters and pictures were hung up, furniture was moved and kitchens were spruced up. Yes – there was a lot of swarming and whirling around until the perfect set was created. Another special highlight was the shoot at the STAHL CraneSystems factory itself. A suitable location was organised for us in the middle of ongoing operations. Thanks in particular to the many dedicated employees of STAHL CraneSystems, who were used as extras, we were able to create a great set.
After filming, there was always delicious food at our restaurant in Braunsbach. But anyone who thinks the day is over after filming is mistaken. Every evening we discussed the scenes and settings for the next day. Because if there’s one thing we’ve learnt, it’s that good time management is definitely an advantage.
All in all, we can look back on three incredibly exciting but admittedly exhausting days, but the effort was worth it. Now the footage is being viewed and diligently edited, because the commercial is due to be shown in the Künzelsau cinema in June – we’re excited!
At the end, there's nothing more for us to say than to thank everyone who supported the VISUELL team during this shoot.
