Laureen Seider is a member of this year’s jury for Focus Open 2025, Baden-Württemberg’s international design award. The competition is one of Germany’s most prestigious state design awards and is organised by the Design Centre Baden-Württemberg. It honours products, services and concepts that impress with their design quality, functional innovation, technological advancement and high relevance in their application context. The state sponsorship ensures independent, transparent evaluation and makes the competition attractive to companies, agencies and start-ups worldwide.
The jury for Focus Open 2025 is made up of experts from various disciplines. In addition to Laureen Seider, this year’s jury includes:

This interdisciplinary composition accurately reflects the range of today’s design requirements. Together, the jury analyses each submitted project in detail, examining its function, materiality, design language, sustainability and user orientation, and discusses the relevance of each solution in the context of the market and innovation. The different professional perspectives ensure structured discussions and a well-founded, comprehensible basis for decision-making. The highlight of the competition is the award ceremony, which takes place at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart. There, Laureen Seider and Andre Poulheim represent the jury on stage and present the results of the evaluation process. The event will be moderated by Markus Brock, who will precisely classify the award-winning projects and highlight their significance for the economy, society and future viability. The award ceremony will highlight how strongly professional design contributes to the innovative power of various industries and what role methodical design competence plays in the development of market-relevant solutions.
