Oslo, Norway
Oslo has become a highlight for fans of extraordinary architecture and pioneering museums in recent years. We want to reach this destination for our further education programme this year in a special way, namely by plane, bus and ship.
On arrival in Kiel, we board the MS Color Magic. Here we discover a completely new and exciting world. The view of the endless sea, the many options on board and the delicious dinner make the 20-hour cruise an impressive experience.
On the first day, we visit the Nobel Peace Centre and the new Munch Museum. The Munch Museum is the world’s largest museum dedicated to the works of a single artist. It was built by the architects Jens Richter and Juan Herreros. With its imposing size right by the sea, it could become a new landmark for Oslo.
A real highlight was the visit to the Oslo Opera. At lunchtime, we had the opportunity to explore this impressive building with its fascinating architecture extensively during a personal tour and even stand on the stage. The architecture firm SnØhetta has created a landmark for Oslo with the opera house, which is reminiscent of a glacier plunging into the sea. In the evening, we sat in the audience and admired the performance of the opera ’Il Barbiere di Siviglia“ on this very stage.
On the last day, we visit the Natural History Museum with its innovative exhibition on geological exhibits. Afterwards, we enjoy the Botanical Gardens, then take the train to the airport and fly back to Stuttgart via Munich. Our entire trip was peppered with delicious food, exciting conversations and lots of fun. Food, culture and art merged into an unforgettable experience that brought the VISUELL team even closer together. This trip was undoubtedly a highlight that we will remember for a long time.
