Oslo
In recent years, Oslo has become a must-visit destination for lovers of exceptional architecture and cutting-edge museums. We plan to reach this destination for this year’s training course in a unique way: by plane, coach and ship.
Once we arrive in Kiel, we’ll board the MS Color Magic. Here we discover a completely new and exciting world. The view of the endless sea, the many activities on board and the delicious dinner make the 20-hour sea voyage an impressive experience.
On the first day, we visit the Nobel Peace Center and the new Munch Museum. The Munch Museum is the world’s largest museum dedicated solely to the works of a single artist. It was designed by architects Jens Richter and Juan Herreros. With its imposing size right by the sea, it could become a new landmark for Oslo.
A real highlight was the visit to the Oslo Opera House. At lunchtime, we had the opportunity to explore this impressive building with its fascinating architecture at length during a private guided tour and even to stand on the stage. With the Opera House, the architectural firm SnØhetta has created a landmark for Oslo that resembles a glacier plunging into the sea. In the evening, we sat in the audience and admired the performance of the opera “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” on that very stage.
On the final day, we visited the Natural History Museum with its innovative exhibition on geological themes. Afterwards, we enjoyed the Botanical Gardens, then took the train to the airport and flew back to Stuttgart via Munich. Our entire trip was filled with delicious food, fascinating conversations and lots of fun. Food, culture and art merged into an unforgettable experience that brought the VISUELL team even closer together. This trip was undoubtedly a highlight that will remain in our memories for a long time to come.
