Since 1986, VISUELL has been writing a success story in the constantly changing world of design and communication. Founders Alexander Knaus and Horst Jäkel draw on their many years of experience and are always up to date and cutting edge. With the second generation, the company remains in the family. Lauren Seider, née Knaus, media designer B.A., and Luis Seider, architect M.Eng., set the new direction in 2022: communication in space – exhibitions for brands and museums.

2025 | Architecture and Design

2023 | The major renovation
Everything is changing. Our rooms are being restructured, the workplaces modernised, the library is being relocated, and our meeting room with kitchen is now on the ground floor with a green terrace. // Thenew website goes online. //Two pitch wins: an exhibition for children atthe Linden Museum Stuttgart, State Museum of Ethnology, and the development and implementation of a communication concept for the Flugfeld Böblingen/Sindelfingen district.


2022 | Laureen and Luis Seider take over management
Laureen Seider and Luis Seider set the new direction: architecture and communication design, online, offline, analogue and digital. //Once again, we'reaiming high. 2020 | Luis Seider, our first architect on the team

2019 | We design the world's first escape exhibition

2015 | Laureen Knaus joins the team as a permanent employee

2011 | Scenography as an important area at VISUELL
On 1 January, Bernhard Gruber-Ballehr becomes managing director of the scenography division.2010Internal restructuringresults infour divisions under the umbrella of our integrated communications: print, scenography, press and internet. // Wedevelop the concept for the first VISUELL calendar book, "nachgedacht" (thoughtful). // In May, the first event takesplaceunder theroof.2009 Oursecond website goes online.


2008 | The first VISUELL event
Schwabenangst, an audio-visual crime drama set in the Stuttgart wine estate.2007 Specialrecognition at the Stuttgart Calendar Show for the calendar "Einblicke 07" (Insights 07).2006 Weare renovating. A green oasis is created in the backyard of the ideas workshop.2005 The400th book finds a permanent place in our VISUELL specialist library, with more to follow.2003 Thetraining project "Individual Weekly Calendar" receives an award at the Stuttgart Calendar Show.2002 Analogueto digital:we replaceour entire photographic equipment, including 35 mm, medium format and large format.


2001 | Our own studio 97a
The second move.We move intothe bright, open-plan ideas workshop in our own building at TübingerStraße 97a. // Ourfirst website goes online. // Thefirst major accident: Horst Jäkel breaks his ankle during an event in Switzerland. He takes over project management of the event that follows shortly afterwardsfrom his hospital bed.


2000 | Scenography, the first time Part of our service
We stage the "100 Years of Stribel" celebration and design our first exhibition on the history of the company.1999 Wewin the Europe-wide pitch: conception and realisation of the customer magazine "medinews" for Agilent Technologies.

1998 | The largest multivision with 42 projectors
Our largest multivision: 42 computer-controlledprojectors, 5-channel sound technology, event "Raum Zeit Bewegung" (Space Time Movement). // The renamingto VISUELL Studio for Communication means new areas of responsibility and new challenges. // Ourfirst training course for the World Exhibition in Lisbon.1997 Fourweeks of architectural photography with a large-format camera: ESAG, Dresden.1996 Westage our first trade fair stand for BKK Hochrhein-Wiesenthal.
